Customs classification API

    What the API does

    You send a product description and the destination country. The API answers with one of these two results:

    • status: code: a final code from the country's nomenclature, with its justification (cited texts);
    • status: open_question: a closed question about the missing fact (for example a jacket's fastening), with no guessed code.

    Countries covered

    European Union (CN / TARIC), United Kingdom, United States, Norway, Canada.

    Integration

    • Authentication by API key (X-API-Key header).
    • Single-item or batch processing.
    • Result pushed by signed webhook (HMAC), with 3 attempts.
    • Free plan limits: 10 requests per minute and 100 per day.

    Billing

    1 credit per product, per country and per classification, whatever the channel. An identical product already classified by your company is reused according to the rules shown in the documentation.

    Example

    Request: "Crew-neck T-shirt, 100% cotton, knitted, men's", destination United Kingdom → final code 6109 10 00 10, with the texts applied.

    After a final EU code, the classification is confirmed by EU classification regulations when the product matches one exactly; the 723 regulations in force can also be consulted freely in Help (EU classification regulations).

    The sheet also shows the published duty rate, with its official source and date, for final codes for the EU, the United Kingdom, the United States, Norway and Canada. No amount is calculated without a customs value.
