Invoices and documents
In the CrossbordIA app in your Shopify admin, “Factures douanières” (Customs invoices) page. You request it yourself, for a given order. CrossbordIA never queries Shopify.
United Kingdom, United States, Norway and Canada. An order delivered within the European Union does not call for a customs invoice; a destination that is not covered is refused. In both cases, nothing is debited.
Each line is matched to its CrossbordIA product sheet by the Shopify product ID, for the destination jurisdiction. The invoice is never produced if a check fails, and no credit is debited. The checks cover, in particular:
1 credit per invoice produced, debited after the PDF is generated. An unchanged order returns the existing invoice, with no new debit. A modified order produces a new version of the invoice.
The invoice is bilingual English / French. It carries the export VAT exemption statement (article 262 I of the French General Tax Code) and, for the United States, the statement on the suspension of de minimis treatment.
Non-blocking warnings may be shown. For example, above EUR 1,000 of goods, an export declaration (EAD) is required, made by the carrier or the customs broker.
On the website, the invoice appears in “My orders”, “All invoices” tab, and on the order in the “Shopify orders” tab, with the “PDF” button. Review and sign it: as the exporter, you remain solely responsible for its content.
