On the product sheet, the “Preferential origin” card establishes, through closed questions, whether the item qualifies for the preferential origin provided by an agreement. Free, with no credit and no AI. Reserved for the Premium and Pro plans; the table on the Pricing page is the reference.
One card per country tab:
The rule of origin depends on the code: the card first asks you to confirm the product sheet's code.
The country of manufacture is not enough: preferential origin depends on the materials used and the operations carried out in the EU. For example, a T-shirt sewn in France from fabric knitted in Asia does not qualify for the United Kingdom.
Each question offers precise choices, including “I don't know”. A material is originating only if you can prove it, usually with a declaration from your supplier. The card cites the official rule in English, its source and the date of the version consulted.
The card concludes with one of these outcomes:
“Change my answers” asks the questions again; until they are finished, the conclusion is “No conclusion”.
A conclusion is tied to the product sheet's code and to the rule applied. If the code changes, or if the rule changes, it is out of date: the card shows it struck through and asks the questions again.
For the United Kingdom, the preferential origin statement is printed only for items concluded “Qualifies”, with an up-to-date conclusion. The line checkbox can no longer force it.
The conclusion is based on your answers and the rule cited. You remain solely responsible for the statement and must hold the supporting evidence, in particular your suppliers' declarations. A false statement exposes you to recovery of duties and penalties.
